New VJing Documentary - CTRL ALT SHIFT

Before my set at the Bloc Weekend i was interviewed for a new documentary about VJing, it's now been released on the internet in its first stages of life, the directors tell me that the plan is to perform it live eventually, which would certainly be interesting, hope they find a venue for it!

Here it is in more standard documentary form: CTRL ALT SHIFT.

Lack of Updates

Hi,
as anyone looking at the site will have noticed, there hasn't been an update for ages. Since all the videos on here became so outdated i have seen less point in updating the rest of the site, and since i can't update the videos until i get ahold of our web guru (and he's not responding to his messages), there may be little change on the website for some time yet. But hopefully we'll get some shiny new stuff here in the not-too-distant-future.
Until then, rest assured, Fata Morgana is still going strong, and check out our youtube page for the most up-to-date videos:

Here are 2 shots showing how we're building Synaesthesia into our analogue show; by projecting it through a tank of water and adding inks etc. to the water. this is then captured by live camera as with our 8mm and oscilloscope stuff...

Beach Breaks Live

a little late, but here's some pictures from the Beach Breaks Live Festival in Polzeath, it went pretty well and a good time was had by all.
Big thanks to everyone who helped out with the visuals, namely Mourish and 1000 Errors, their sets looked awesome, but also everyone else who helped out with carrying stuff and rigging and de-rigging, your help is much appreciated!
Oh, and Jon Johnson from AVT, couldn't have done it without you, you're a star!
It was a big shame that Magenta couldn't make it, but im sure there will be plenty of opportunity to see her perform in the future!

right here's a few pictures, hopefully i'll find some more good ones of the screens but these'll do for now...

long time no update again

oooo, where to start...loads been going round these parts....
once we'd recovered from the Bloc weekend we've started some experiments with Miranda from Rephlex which will hopefully result in some beautiful AV performances later this summer involving lots of fish tanks on stage...

We've also been busy preparing a brand new digital set for Drop Beats not Bombs this bank holiday weekend in Birmingham, check out http://www.dropbeatsnotbombs.co.uk/ for more info.

We've now got a myspace page in some kind of convoluted way, so if you'd like to add us please do at www.myspace.com/synchomplicity

On top of that we've just been asked to provide the visuals for the Beach Breaks Live festival in june, go have a look at their awesome lineup on http://www.beachbreaklive.co.uk/ and maybe even buy some tickets?!? we'll be visualing away the whole 3 days alongside some other great VJs who'll be announced soon. so come say hello.

and last but maybe most.....LungeFist #3 is alive!
It will be at The Cutty Sark pub (falmouth) since the poor old Watersports Centre lost its license, featuring a fine blend of horrible metal and lovely glitchybreakcore.
Namely: Jonny3Snares providing the electronic noises
and Hinnom providing the guitars and shouting

its gonna be awesome!!!

Lungefist #2

LungeFist #2 was a huge success, Ebola and Judith Priest took no prisoners with what must have been the heaviest msuci that the watersports centre has ever known!

LungeFist #2

LungeFist #2 - Fri 2nd March - Falmouth Watersports Centre
we've got EBOLA and JUDITH PRIEST both of wrongmusic to come tear it up
and in support we've got tirpledot performing a special live analog dubstep set which'll be amazing
and a special presentation of god vs. satan from Scottnoskills
oooh i can't wait

February 12, 2007
